The Courses
10km Run - Starts at 9am at ANZAC Peace Park (at the bottom of York Street)
Be Active 4.5km Run/Walk- Starts at 9.30am at Middleton Beach Surf Life Saving Club
With the support of Albany Traffic Control, participants will run/walk on streets closed to traffic as well as the dual use coastal path with both events finishing at Emu Point where there will be music, food and drink, presentations, spot prizes and more!

Participant Race Bibs
This year the Event has adopted a new form of timing technology. The Participant Race Bibs will have the timing chip attached to the back of the bibs in the form of a sticker. PLEASE do not remove or tamper with the sticker as this will affect your results.
The timing chips are disposable and can be thrown away after the event.
If you have entered online you will not be able to collect your participant bib from BodyCare Health Club. Participants can collect their race bib at the start line at the following times:
Verve Energy Port to Point 10km: 8.15am - event start at 9.00am
Be Active 4.5km: 8.45am - event start at 9.30am

Prizes
Prize Money will be awarded as follows to 10km winners:
1st Place Male & Female: $200
1st Place Local Male & Female: $100
Medals will be awarded to:
- 10km
- 1st , 2nd, 3rd male & female adult
- 1st , 2nd, 3rd male & female child
- Be Active 4.5km
- 1st , 2nd, 3rd male & female adult
- 1st , 2nd, 3rd male & female child
- All participants will be eligible for spot prizes donated by local businesses.
- Prizes will be presented promptly after the completion of the event. Please keep your race number for identification.
A prize consisiting of a return flight from Albany thanks to Skywest and entry into the HBF Run for a Reason 2012 will be won by one lucky participant who has entered online!

Important Info
Participants must:
- assemble 30 minutes prior to each start for the Event Briefing
- attach their Participant Number to the front of their top with safety pins
- wear their Participant Number at all times for Medical Reasons
- stay on the Course unless advised otherwise directed by event officials or police
Please Note:
- No vehicles are permitted on course unless approved by event officials or police
- Rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles and pets are strictly forbidden
- Registrations on Event Day incur a $5 late fee; please arrive between 1 hour and 45 minutes earlier if you plan to register on the day.
